To embrace diversity, is to embrace humanity. There exists a deep beauty in our ability to appreciate individual differences. I believe a combination of compassion, understanding, and honesty are vital qualities that promote diversity in any situation; and I strive to always create a welcoming atmosphere that draws others near. Through empathic curiosity, I seek new knowledge about individual differences to empower my fellow humans. As history has shown us, there is great value in understanding different cultures, lifestyles, and backgrounds. Regardless of skin color, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, or sexual orientation, all persons in their individual glory, contribute to the enrichment of humanity.

To that end, I say we should welcome difference without strife, promote openness and understanding, and truly accept ourselves so we can freely accept others.
